From the List of Unacceptable Worship Actions Towards God
#4 Glorifying Idols.
Worshipping people, places, and things is unacceptable worship.
Every wicked pervert idolatry that anyone does always disrespect the Creator God. You are never to worship a non-god or another thing. If you do, you are not God’s children.
Because of every stubborn child made in God’s image, you must understand that God will not give away His presence of praise to another. Let’s read about it in the following scriptures:
Isaiah 42:8 I am the Lord: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.
Isaiah 48:11 For mine own sake, even for mine own sake, will I do it: for how should my name be polluted? and I will not give my glory unto another.
Must God’s name be dishonored, the answer is NO!
Anyone worshipping a person or image (idols) as they are worshipping God almighty is idolatry. You are told not to do as the stiff neck children Israel in Isaiah 48. Please read about it when you have time.
God’s love and compassion have kept us from His wrath. Time and time again, He has told us to not offer something to people, places, and time. Let’s read these scriptures to renew your mind:
1 Chronicles 16:26 For all the gods of the people are idols: but the Lord made the heavens.
Leviticus 26:1 Ye shall make you no idols nor graven image, neither rear you up a standing image, neither shall ye set up any image of stone in your land, to bow down unto it: for I am the Lord your God.
2 Kings 17:12 For they served idols, whereof the Lord had said unto them, Ye shall not do this thing.
The Bible is clear on this matter. If you are a Believer in Christ, worshipping people is not your thing to do, and neither is bowing to status or places. Only God Almighty gets the praise.
