Sensible Worship

There are many Christians and Non-Christians alike who believe that Music saves the soul. Is this true or not?

Before you answer this question. Honestly Think about It!

In today’s generation, we are told that our feelings will help us to be honest with ourselves and others. In those times of stress and despair, we seek music and its lyrics for hope instead of God who is the only source for hopelessness.

What do you do during this feeling? Do you do one of the following:

1. Seek advice from people
2. Play your favorite music
3. Become unhinged by smoking or drinking
4. Put other people down to make yourself feel better
5. Pray to the Lord
6. Go to Sleep and be depressed
7. Praise the Lord
8. Cry about the situation, and want others to feel sorry for you

When you run to hide, you can see yourself in one or more listed above. We have all moved by our feeling, but was it right to react that way? Listening to music will stimulate you to react in a positive or negative way. You, as a follower of Christ, should discern this world’s devices. Those devices are to turn you away from God towards an early death. That is the goal! To keep you in your feeling and not adjust your will to God’s plans and purposes for yourself.

Just because you are moved by a feeling or a belief, it could as well be an irrational one. Feelings are like the wind. They change too frequently. They deceive you, and cause you to respond physically or mentally from your soul – mind, will, and emotions.

“A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.” – Luke 6:45

Matthew 12:35 tells us of “A good man” who brings forth treasure. What comes out of you from your heart, mind, and soul. Musical Lyrics prophecy’s things to you, along with the sounds that illuminate and point to good things or evil things.

Spiritually speaking, we are preached to all the time. We choose to have beliefs based only on what has been exposed to us until we have a personal encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ. The Old and New Testament announces His coming to this world. By Faith, we store this prophecy. Waiting patiently with endurance. In the meantime, we discovered the soul-ties to music. In the 60s, the praise and worship genre of music started to bind Christians to the feelings of worship, instead of exactly giving praise and worship towards God. Christian music has hampered individuals’ worship in spirit and in truth.

What are spiritual songs? An individual Believer in Christ singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord. They are your words, not others.

“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.” – Colossians 3:16

Contemporary Christian Music is not praise and worship. Ephesians 5:19 shares that we are to do a worshipful action from our good treasure. No worship leader in this world can get you to praise the Lord if you do not have the conversion in Christ. Praise and worship is not music. They are two words to be used by every person; who daily give a sacrifice of praise to God. Through the belief in Christ, you will express your love for Him.

“By him [Christ Jesus] therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.” – Hebrews 13:15

Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying that your action or belief is. Everything we do on this earth must be done by faith according to Romans 14:23. If not, we are still in sin, and our faith is in vain. Just because you like praise and worship music and felt the heartbeat of God through Christian Music, doesn’t mean it saves anyone. It will only mask your true symptoms. Your little or lack of true individual worship towards God. You have decided, like millions of others, to have someone else do it for you.

If you are a Babe in Christ, yes listen to Christian Music as a starting directive! If you have been following Christ Jesus for more than 3 years, and have not changed in your offerings towards Him. You will believe that listening to music, praise dancing, and other godly like things are true acceptable worship. No my Brother and Sister in Christ, they are traditions of men! God is not in them, and neither is the Holy Spirit. God is not liking that you have not genuinely given praise to Him from your good treasure.

Every stolen Christian lyric and melody has not been or will ever be acceptable worship to God, neither will it save you from your sins. Just because you are singing and talking about God, Jesus, or the Holy Spirit doesn’t prompt you to worship. You must give your offering to God in order for Him to accept it from you. No other individual or thing can do this for you (see Cain’s Offering from Genesis Chapter 4).

Music is not worship. It is only a stimulus. To save your soul, you need to accept the Messiah, Jesus. He is the only way, the only truth, and the only light in this world.
