#12 Worship with Good Intentions is Not True Acceptable Worship

List of Unacceptable Worship Actions Towards God

#12 Vain Worship is Futile. Who do you think you are fooling?

Vain worship. Attending church (or assembly) with good intentions is not acceptable worship towards God. Anyone worshipping God must have their heart in their worship.

God cannot be mocked. He knows everything including your actions. Never forget that! You can only deceive yourself. Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap (Galatians 6:7).

Awake Up, my Brother or Sister in Christ!

You cannot worship God without pleasing Him. This should be your desire if you are His child. “And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight” (1 John 3:22).

Vain worship has no place in our lives according to 2 Corinthians 5:9, “Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.” Do you understand? Let’s say it clearly. Whether we are at home or away, we make it our aim to please him.

Vain worship is God talk with no thought. If you are doing this, please Stop. The word “vain” is the Greek word: maten, which means: “to be void of results.” Vain worship is a mere ritual; without purpose.

God knows the motive and intent of the heart. Let’s read Hebrews 4:12 to remind us of God’s operation, “For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”

He warns us about our actions according to Matthew 15: 9, “But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.” Believing false teaching will have you doing unacceptable worship. Wearing a Mask to Deceive others including yourself. Do you know what I’m saying here?

You are a hypocrite, and your worship is futile.

Why waste your energy on the evil works of Satan? God is looking always according to Proverbs 16:2, “All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes; but the Lord weigheth the spirits.”

Your actions (your praise) are judged by God. Please do not open up your mouth without thinking clearly about your action (praise). It is your responsibility to get this right. Praise and worship are done from your spirit to God’s spirit (John 4:23-24).

Having good intentions in your worship is not good enough. I hope you can see this. Think about your actions, before saying how you feel privately or publicly about your worship of God. If not, your heart is not in your worship; which is vain worship.

[…] The Bible tells us in Proverbs 1:7 that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge. To receive a life of ease in Christ, you would have delight in serving God.
