Many have been wondering about praising God, and don’t know how to access the holy place (the presence of God).
God asked Moses to make Him a sanctuary, a sacred place for worship. Let’s read about it in Exodus 25:8-9:
“And let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them. 9 According to all that I shew thee, after the pattern of the tabernacle, and the pattern of all the instruments thereof, even so shall ye make it.“
So Moses and God’s people did as He suggested, It was a living place for Him to dwell in. Everyone can see and feel the Holy Spirit of God. The Shekinah glory by day and the fire of God by night.
The location of this sanctuary was found in the old testament room of the tabernacle. The Levitical order honor the Lord there according to all that was shown to Moses by Almighty God. The tabernacle is a physical representation of the holiness of God.
Todays new testament believer’s still have a tabernacle, however it is not a physical building. The Holy Place is located in a better tent. Hebrews 9:11 tells us a little about this perfect tabernacle, “But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building; 12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.”
If you have received Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, you have boldness and access with confidence by faith in Jesus to enter into the Holy Place (Ephesians 3:12). Wherever you dwell, your body (1 Corinthians 3:16-17), the anointing will come to your sanctuary. The Spirit of the Living God residence within.
You don’t have to wait for Him according to John 4:23-24, He will seek you out. He want to live in your home. Make sure the your are pure and clean according to the commandments. What is this you may be saying to yourself? Let’s read Psalm 24:3-5 to find the answers:
Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in his holy place? 4 He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. 5 He shall receive the blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.
You were born to praise and worship the Lord. If this is your desire, start by praising the Lord. He loves your voice, and your heart. It’s your faith that will please Him the most. Trust me my Brother or Sister in Christ. Your obedience is better than any old testament sacrifice. The new and righteous way is an unfiltered praise. Hebrews 13:15 talks about giving God a sacrifice of praise for He is definitely worthy of it.
Praise will always get God’s attention. My suggestion is to follow and practice Psalm 119:164 suggestion: “Seven times a day do I praise thee because of thy righteous judgments,” until it comes second nature to you. Fill your home with testimonies of how great He is and how good He has been to you. Boast of His love, and give your expectations to Him.
Unlock your door of your holy temple (sanctuary – home) with praise, and He will bless you with a chance to worship ‘in spirit and in truth.’ God’s presence is available. Try it and see for yourself. Never stop praising Him. This offer stands continually. For this is the natural product of our lips that acknowledge His name.
Before you leave, read these additional scriptures to fill your mind with knowledge, so you may do them:
