Spirit to Spirit: The Rules of Worship?

Were you ever taught about worshipping God? Most churches or assemblies do not teach or preach about these simple rules of engagement. To catch the aspects of worship in service, you are to watch others in their worship actions and then choose something to worship God with. This is totally wrong.

Do you know that there is a difference between praise and worship? Praise and Worship are closely related but are not the same. Praise is from acts of worship, and worshipping God comes from an invitation to commune with Him. It is almost like learning about discernment. You are to be aware of your intent.

The intention is nothing without the corresponding action. Praise always responds to worship, but worship doesn’t necessarily respond to praise. In Christ, we must connect praise and worship to what we believe, as a result, our faith works for us. Faith is the substance hope for, and the evidence you do not see. Spirits are a part of the invisible, or the spiritual essence made to worship together. You cannot see the invisible with your natural eyes just like the wind. However, you can sense the effects of the encounter, or physically see the aftermath.

There are many spirits in this world to trick us from knowing the truth about Jesus: for He is the way, the truth, and the light. Everything needed to have access through His name to reach the Creator God. But the knowledge of sin and the curse that comes along with it, is keeping us separated. No unholy thing, which includes us, can communicate with God without help from the Truth. You need to know the difference between God’s ways and not imposing your ways onto His. You must serve our God on His terms, not your own. Understanding the rules of worship is meant to protect us from the other spiritual things that are owned by death.

You were created in God’s image and likeness with a spirit to worship or communicate with the Creator God. These rules or commandments are shown by Moses’ Laws given to the children of Israel to execute without hesitation. If you did that, you would have excellent communication needed when worshipping God. To commune with God, you must get wisdom from the inspired written word called the Holy Bible. “The Word of God” is sent to every believer in that you use your faith according to Hebrews 11:6: “But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.” By faith, you seek an invisible God – spirit to Spirit.

Your obedience is the fulfillment of your purpose to worship God, and disobeying brings about the corresponding action, which is unchangeable to you – the worshipper, is dead! There are two things you must completely understand as follows:

  1. God is a Spirit (John 4:24). God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.”
  2. You have a spirit dwelling within your natural body (Genesis 2:7 and Job 33:4 and Numbers 27:16). “And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.” and “The spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life.” and “Let the Lord, the God of the spirits of all flesh, set a man over the congregation,”

Whatever you are needing from God, you must take care of your debt of sin owned by the curse of the law (click here to read more about “The Curse”). This law was imperfect so God sent Jesus, not to condemn Man of their sins, but to redeem us from this guilt and shame. Christ has liberated us to have daily access to God through our faith and confession of Him.

Need Peace with God?

We should never be ashamed of our Lord and Savior. If you are, pray in the mighty name of Jesus to help you to become bold in your walk of faith. The Bible warns us of our actions in Mark 8:38, “Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.” So, my brethren, don’t be ashamed of your faith, knowing Jesus and His teachings. John 14:6 also expresses another rule for everyone that believes this message, “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” You must know God’s Son in order to effectively worship in an acceptable way. If you do what is expected of you, God will accept your worship (for example, read about Cain and Abel’s Offering)?

Remember sin seeks to destroy you, but you will overcome by the word of God (Holy Scriptures), and the word of your testimony. Mediate on God’s word to renew your mind to righteous living and holiness. In your prayers, you reconnect through Christ, as your inward man of the heart speaks with God from your spirit to God’s Spirit. Everything in this world operates to fulfill the rules: for wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 6:23).

God created these laws to open up reciprocal relationship between Himself and Man. Presently in this life, we are to walk out in righteousness and holiness. Be a holy priest in your spiritual house (located within your body – 1 Corinthians 3:17) by letting the Holy Spirit protect and comfort your soul (John 14:16), know the truth of who Jesus is (John 3:16-17), and offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God (1 Peter 2:5). In the Old Testament, the children of Israel worship by pouring out the sacrificial blood of animals. Still, today in the New Testament, we are to pour out sacrificial praises from our lips to God in Jesus’ Name. Let’s read Hebrews 13:15-16, to express our current state:

“By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name. 16 But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.”

Do you want to please God? Yes, I know you do. So through Jesus, you should never stop praising Him. Your voice is your key to victory. If you can remember Spirit to spirit contact, is the only understood rule of worship.
