Praise and Worship Devotional for May 21

Worship

“And all the congregation worshipped, and the singers sang, and the trumpeters sounded: and all this continued until the burnt offering was finished.”

King Hezekiah gave the order to worship according to King David’s rules of worship. When the offering of the sacrifice was completed, the king and everyone there knelt on the ground and worshiped.

They sang their praises with joy and reverence, kneeling in worship.

This sounds like today’s modern churches, except for one thing, and that is to be kneeling or prostration in worship. Both actions of worship God desire from a physical, not literal, submission. If you don’t use this action in your worship, please consider it and do as most of the scripture shows us to act toward God.

For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God (Romans 14:11).
