Praise and Worship Devotional for June 26

Worship the Lord

Stand in the gate of the Lord’s house, and proclaim there this word, and say, Hear the word of the Lord, all ye of Judah, that enter in at these gates to worship the Lord.

The Lord God told Jeremiah to stand in front of the gate of the Temple. Why? To share with them what the Lord is saying:

The Lord our God is faithful, you can trust in Him. There are deceptive words that are going around on the earth, changing the truth of God into a lie (in other words, calling good evil and evil good).

Change your ways and your deeds. I, the Lord, will let you dwell in the land. Stop all of your abominations – stealing, murder, committing adultery, swearing falsely, making offerings to Baal, sodomy, and going after other gods that you have not known and so many other things that are against my standards and principles. Then, come to my house named after me! Many are doing evil in the land, and this is your warning.

Please do not pray to Me and continue to do evil. I will not hear you.

Those who care listen up: They will not care if you try to speak with them. They are stubborn and full of evil. They will not obey the commands of the Lord. They don’t know the truth if they hear it: the Lord has rejected and forsaken the generation of His wrath.

No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other.”

Matthew 6:24 KJV

Ponder these words: “Worship must be done in God’s ways, not on your own terms or feelings if you to make it to Heaven.”
